Horse Trek
Available at an additional charge, our guided horse treks are designed to let you take in the heritage of the Nevis Valley at your own pace. All treks are suitable for novice’s or the more experienced rider.
The station is home to 5 horses, a stallions and a broodmare. Raised and cared for by our onsite Farm Manager and Horse Guide, Pru.
Pru has ridden horses her whole life and has called the Nevis Valley home since the age of 13.
Her passion for horses and her extensive knowledge of the Nevis Valley makes for a very special horse riding experience, catered around each riders abilities.
Ben Nevis Station has options suited for novice riders to the more advanced alike. With the choice from 1.5 hour to 3 hour treks, as well as the option for an introductory hand led ride through the paddock.
Whichever your chosen pace, our horse trekking experience will have you ridding through river beds and into the heart of the back-country in true Central Otago style.

1.5 HOUR Maximum 2 riders (unless otherwise arranged) $200 PER PERSON
3 HOUR Maximum 2 riders (unless otherwise arranged) $300 PER PERSON
